Announcement: 2nd OCEANS Symposium

We are pleased to announce "The 2nd OCEANS Symposium — Pursuing 'Down-to-Earth AI Development' with the Maritime Industry: First-Year Outcomes and the Next Steps Expanding through BRIDGE."

Since its launch in April 2025, OCEANS has worked side-by-side with the shipbuilding, shipping, and classification industries to build a framework for putting generative AI into real-world practice, with design automation at its core. This year our work has also been adopted by BRIDGE (the Bridging Program between R&D and Society 5.0), broadening the scope of our activities. The symposium will feature our first-year research outcomes, keynote lectures by Mr. Shin Imai (Senior Deputy Director-General for Engineering Affairs, MLIT) and Prof. Henrique M. Gaspar (NTNU), and a panel discussion with leaders from industry. We would be most grateful for your attendance.
