  1. Former 4th Chair

    –1998

    Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering was incorporated into the newly established framework of the Department and Graduate School of Global Architecture. At the same time, the former system of six small chairs was reorganized into three larger chairs. The most natural understanding is that the present subarea inherited the research line on structural strength from the former 4th Chair after this reorganization.
